Donate To Izzy’s Wing
Your tax-deductible donation helps fund canopy skills camps at dropzones across the country including those that may have limited participants due to size – ensuring skydivers have access to essential training. In addition, Izzy’s Wing provides assistance to injured skydivers and instructors who have a financial need and to those impacted by loss of life. We are grateful for your support of our mission, founded in loving memory of our daughter, Izzy Bucsko, who was tragically taken from us during a practice jump in 2023.

Carry Her Legacy Forward
Volunteer With Us
Partner dropzones host our training events (usually in July and August) with leading canopy flight instructor Steve Simpson. Attendees will make four to six jumps. The instructor will provide ground instruction and video debrief after each jump providing immediate feedback. Volunteers are needed to help with:
- Day-of coordination and training space set-up
- Greeting and helping skydivers as they arrive
- Supporting the visiting instructor and DZ staff
Donation faq's
What are donations used for?
We sponsor training for skydivers at host dropzones across the country, specifically for canopy piloting skills. Training course fees normally cost between $150-$200. Donations help cover the cost of the instructor’s travel and time for each day-long camp event. This ensures partner dropzones can offer essential skills training; attendees pay for their own jump plus equipment/packer, if desired.
Our goal is accessibility, so if you attend we ask that you consider donating part or all of the normal $150-$200 fee to continue the mission of Izzy’s Wing. In addition, the Memorial Fund by Izzy’s Wing steps in to help eligible skydivers who are recovering from jump-related injuries. We help skydivers or instructors who are not insured or have inadequate insurance and who have a financial need.
Additionally, in the event a skydiver loses their life, Izzy’s Wing may also assist with the costs related to funeral-related expenses.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes! Izzy’s Wing is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our online donation platform is convenient, secure, and easy to use.
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No experience is required but familiarity with the host DZ and/or skydiving is helpful. Volunteer roles will not include jumps or any equipment handling during the event. A warm smile and a willing spirit are all you need!
